Pure brass

Raw material

The making of a faucet has many steps and every manufacturing stage is quality controlled. Every stage is important because the quality of the final product rests on the performance of the preliminary steps. So, creating the ‘chassis’ or foundation of a faucet is as crucial as the final finish. Our faucet bodies are made of the purest possible Brass. Brass, which an alloy of copper and zinc, is resistant to soft-water corrosion and hard-water calcification making it the perfect metal for a faucet body.

Inside the faucet

Core Shooter

A core is a device used in casting and moulding processes to produce internal cavities and re-entrant angles. The core is normally a disposable item that is destroyed to get it out of the piece. They are most commonly used in sand casting, but are also used in injection moulding.

Cores are useful for features that cannot tolerate draft or to provide detail that cannot otherwise be integrated into a core-less casting or mould.

The only disadvantage is the additional cost to incorporate(manufacture) cores.

State-of-the-art

Casting

The faucet’s body is either cut from high-quality brass rods or its shape is achieved through die casting using state-of-the-art technology. We use imported gravity die casting machines, which are unparalleled when it comes to achieving construction quality. Die-cast bodies are made by melting brass at high temperatures 1150°C and pouring it into moulds of the desired shape. These moulds are such that there is little aberration in the shape of a faucet. This is a must to ensure that the final finish is smooth as a mirror with true reflection.

High quality processing

Machining

After die casting comes the process of machining. This is also computer controlled process. Our cutting-edge machining process ensures that the die casted product has all its surfaces finished to a high degree of smoothness. The internal water passage ways are also smoothened for better performance during machining.

Surface finishing

Grinding & Polishing

Only after the brass surfaces are polished to technical precision can the product be sent out to chrome plating. Unless the polishing is perfect the faucet will not get that shine that we look for in every high quality product.

For that perfect finish, polishing is carried out through a combination of manual and machine driven processes. For high-end and niche faucets the polishing is done by experienced artisans. Senior polishing technicians work exclusively on our pride-of-place range. These technicians understand exactly how much pressure to apply at what points to ensure that a Belgian mirror-like finished surface is realized after chrome plating, work exclusively on our pride-of-place range.

Physical checking

Eyes don’t lie

Before the faucet goes to the electroplating lines, all the parts and bodies undergo a physical check for any sort of cosmetic imperfections like scuff marks, polishing errors, geometrical and asymmetrical lines and curves. This ensures we have less in process rejections at the end of the electroplating process.

German specialty chemicals

In house Chemical Lab

In this process, first a base coating of electroplated nickel is first applied, followed by a thin coating of electroplated chromium. The chrome layer is deposited from a plating bath containing certain additives that improve corrosion resistance.

The chrome layers are impossibly thin, less than the thickness of a human hair.

After plating, various components of the faucet are installed with digital precision. This is also a computerized process and ensures the faucet is solid both on the outside and the inside. The faucet and the necessary components are stored for a while so that they ‘set’, and soon, they are sent to the assembly line.

Electroplating

Every faucet and mixer system created by TRESCO undergoes a chrome plating technique that greatly enhances durability of the product. We proudly use German speciality chemicals ATOTECH on our plating lines. The chrome finish is so fine that it ages very slowly. Hence each box is labelled BRILLIANT CHROME for you to enjoy your faucet.

Where the magic happens

Assembly & Fitment

The spout, if separate, is first installed, followed by the ceramic cartridge and control lever. During the assembly process, these are two very crucial points that you need to know:

Ceramic discs within our cartridges seamlessly intertwine and ensure that water-mixing is precise.

After the cartridge is fixed, next comes the aerator that is designed to improve your water experience by adding air bubbles to water droplets. This ensures that the volume of water feels luxuriant and there is no splash at all.

Testing

Every faucet and bath system created and crafted undergoes a rigorous testing process on both water and compressed air. We take proud in saying – each faucet that gets shipped out of the manufacturing facility is tested on imported machine physically by a trained technician, off Couse with this conviction do we offer a 7 year warranty on our products

Laser marking

Imported machine performs contactless on perfectly engineered faucets to carry the bold TRESCO emblem to stay with you forever.

These machines operate on the computerised programing and functions and have a fibre optic mechanism to perform the job. This type of equipment is also used by renowned luxury watch maker, jewellers and our personal favourite the Apple iPhone.

Designing fittings that shape water are efficient and bring the experience to life: this is something we are able to achieve by combining a variety of skills. Each TRESCO™ fitting is made up of the latest technology, recognised design skills and last but not least the excellent craftsmanship of our designers and engineers. The end products are highly functional and provide added emotional value within the overall effective design.

Pack & stack

Only after the test faucets pass these series of trials, they are sent out to the market. Which is why, when you buy our product, you will not need another faucet and bathing system for a long, long time.

The dispatch team eagerly awaits for the orders that are received and a central inventory systems controls and regulates the smooth dispatch guidelines.
